Junior Creative

Full Time

Location: Burleigh Heads, QLD
This is an in-studio role. No remote work.

Introduction

Malosi Studio is an award-winning fishing lifestyle brand founded by two creative brothers driven by art, adventure, and storytelling. From our Burleigh Heads studio, we design premium fishing products and produce world-class content that challenges what a fishing brand can look and feel like.

We’re looking for a hungry, ambitious junior creative ready to sharpen their craft inside a fast-moving, high-performance creative team. Deeply passionate about content, design, and storytelling, you’ll work closely with our Founders and senior creatives to help bring campaigns, product launches, and brand content to life across digital and retail channels.

This is an opportunity to grow into a well-rounded creative professional while contributing to the authenticity and premium standard Malosi is known for.

The Role

Create: Design visually compelling and engaging assets across social, web, retail, paid, and campaign rollouts. You’ll help shape how our products and stories show up in the world, always aligned with our visual identity and premium tone.

Develop: Support the maintenance of production equipment and help manage our structured creative asset library. You’ll develop strong professional habits around file management, naming conventions, and version control; the foundations of a high-performing creative team.

Learn: Assist on in-studio and location shoots when needed; supporting camera setup, lighting, audio, equipment prep, and production logistics. You’ll gain hands-on experience in how high-end content is crafted from the ground up.

Collaborate: Contribute to editing, formatting, colour grading, and preparing platform-specific deliverables. You’ll build confidence in transforming raw footage into polished, brand-ready content.

Support: From product launches to brand storytelling pieces, you’ll assist in executing campaigns across multiple channels and see how strong creative ideas move from concept through to launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative: You will collaborate with the founders to develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with our brand’s vision and product roadmap within expected timeframes for marketing efforts. Deliverables will include both studio-based production and fieldwork, featuring both video, still imagery.
  • Production: Produce content that ranges from high-polish, long-form brand films to raw, quickly produced social media pieces, requiring a solid understanding of the nuances and advantages between these formats. This content will use both assets you will shoot yourself and from external collaborators and customers. You will continuously seek innovative ways to evolve and improve our content, while also analysing performance metrics to understand what works, what doesn’t, and why.
  • Logistics: Manage logistics for location based filming including transportation, setup and operation of various production equipment including cameras, lenses, recording devices, lighting equipment, props, and microphones. You will also be in charge of organising and maintaining all production equipment ensuring it is well cared for and operating effectively.
  • Asset Library: You will be tasked with curating and managing a vast library of creative assets that can be utilised by all departments and trade partners. This library will be well organised and catalogued for efficient shared use and collaboration.

    Your Skills & Experience

    • Confident working across Adobe Creative Suite on Mac OS, specifically Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. You can edit video, build Photoshop compositions, design logos, and colour grade photos.
    • You live and breathe content creation, with a strong understanding of social platforms, including current trends, content formats, and evolving best practices.
    • Highly collaborative and communicative within a creative team environment, while also comfortable receiving feedback and working under clear creative direction.
    • Extremely organised with strong time management skills, able to maintain efficient workflows across programs and consistently deliver work to brief and within agreed deadlines.
    • Adaptable and able to perform under pressure, navigate challenges, and learn new tools quickly, with a genuine willingness to grow and improve.
    • A true passion for well-designed products, the creative process, and an outdoor/adventure lifestyle.
    • 1+ years’ experience in a similar creative role.
